Having moved into a more analytic-sy role by day I have been spending a buch of time time putting together screen casts for mrmetrics.com recently.
As well as geeking out over reams of data I also got a chance to draw a little calculator man!

I have been neglecting Design Something terribly for the past few months due to a little project I have been working on called The Robot Good News Bible.
I wrote the novel during November 2009 for NaNoWriMo and decided, as I had some great feedback about the story, I would serialise the novel on-line.
The story is about the fight to live on your own terms.
Find the story at www.therobotbible.com.
Have had some serious writers (bloggers…?) block over the last few days, probably because I’m wasting all my free time playing Spore, and as such I can’t seem to find anything online that jumps out at me to post.
Instead I thought I might put up this little image I put together in photoshop a while ago… I like to use it when I fiddle with servers etc.
Giant Robot Sketch
… For want of a better name
Been playing around with colour in some of my sketches over the last few days and particularly liked this big metal guy.
I’m not sure exactly what his intent is but he is certainly in for the giant robot cuddly toy treatment… Got in mind to create some destructible cuddly scenery for him too in case he does turn out to be sinister…
Been playing around with some tattoo illustration and my lovely Victoria was kind enough to volunteer her back so that i could have a play around with some, very non-permanent, Henna.Painting with a brush was an economical, yet tricky technique which saved about half a tube of Henna and mainly allowed for more accurate markings. It did however take a lot longer than it might have and it was harder to keep a consistent colour and width to the lines.
I’m certainly glad it isn’t permanent, the fishes is a little squat and the fins didnt really translate very well but for a first attempt I’m rather proud, Vic is even wearing low backed tops to show it off…
Awww! She’s as lovely as she looks!
I guess I caught her in a forlorn moment but her little grumbling noises sounded like an open invitation to snap away…
She’s asleep now as usual but then, who can blame her, everyone is heads down and too busy to a. give her food or b. moan at her for going through the bins…
